   Proposal Description:
   Past research has shown that depression can impact executive functioning and  processing speed in older adults. Most studies look at cognitively healthy  older adults, but do not control for the prodromal relationship depression may  have with Alzheimer's dementia. The few that do, exclude those who develop  Alzheimer's from their analyses. Our study aims to look at the impact  depression can have on executive functioning and processing speed in older  adults who later develop Alzheimer's dementia.
